OK to have fun at Christmas Fair

Following the success of the OK September Ball, we have once again decided to celebrate Kintyre – this time at a Christmas Fair, in a festive link-up with the Farmer’s Market. The event will take place on Saturday 1st December in Burnside Square, Campbeltown from 10am onwards. Stalls will overflow with local produce, festive treats, arts and crafts and plenty of gift ideas. There will also be lots of local cheer and entertainment and treats for the kids too! So... for a great day out and to find out more about OK from panel members, clients and our facilitator, come along to our winter wonderland of festive fun! Why not download and display the poster?

September Ball set to become an Annual Event?

If you missed our September Ball, don't worry... it looks set to become an annual affair. With guests of honour, MSP Jim Mather, Minister for Enterprise, and Dr Ernesto Sirolli, founder of the Sirolli Institute, the evening surpassed our wildest expectations and already 10 corporate tables have been provisionally booked for next year. Local Kintyre food & entertainment ensured a perfect evening for over 150 guests who celebrated and danced into the early hours. Dr Sirolli's shrewd observations of Kintyre and its people as showing 'pure potential' were warmly welcomed by the gathered throng. Watch this space for 2008 dates.

Sirolli Moment

People often ask us about our progress – how we are doing so far, what impact we are having in the community. The following unprompted quote from one of our clients is a good guide for us:

"There is something happening here [in Kintyre]. You can feel the change coming. Opportunity Kintyre is part of it."

Community Contribution

OK currently has just under 60 active panel members – providing a large pool of resources and an invaluable contribution to the client experience through knowledge, support, friendship and networking. The reasons for their involvement are varied – here is an example:

"I got involved because it sounded like a good idea. I stayed involved because the more I see, the more I believe it is an excellent idea".

If you'd like to join our panel, you'd be very welcome.
